Iranian short animation ‘Alphabet’ has won the Best Experimental and Animation award at the 6th Speechless Film Festival (SFF) in the US.
Directed by Kianoush Abedi, the animation recently received the best short film award at the American event.
‘Alphabet’ is a 3D animation produced in late 2017. The 6-minute animated piece depicts a nation that has forgotten the alphabet of living. They cannot see, cannot hear, and cannot speak, but the words are waiting for them eagerly.

The SFF aims to foster cross-cultural engagement through the celebration of visual storytelling, a creative endeavor rooted deeply in the history of cinema.
The 6th edition of the event is slated to be held April 12 to 14, 2018 in Minnesota, US.
